I wanted to ask if it is possible to use the MiniCut2D to cut Crosslinked Polyethylene? As I understand it most PE should be safe to cut using hot-wire cutters (although the fumes may be irritating), but I noticed that you do not list it as a compatible material.

WARNING : These cuts emit fumes that can be toxic and it is imperative to evacuate them immediately with adequate ventilation and not breath in them.

How to know if a type of foam can be cut?  Send us a sample and we will do the test for you. (Or buy a MiniCut2d and do the test yourself !)

La MiniCut2d est prévue pour découper le polystyrène, mais il est possible de découper d’autres mousses avec en utilisant le mode Expert du logiciel pour ajuster la vitesse (il faut la réduire).

ATTENTION : Ces découpes émettent des fumées qui peuvent être toxiques et il est impératif de les évacuer immédiatement par une ventilation adaptée et de ne pas les inspirer.
